Brooklyn, since 2019

A house scent,
not a trend scent.

Azht composes candles, reed diffusers and room sprays in micro-batches of two hundred or fewer — built by trained perfumers from a 1,200-ingredient palette, not borrowed from a mood board.

A short manifesto

Scent as part of the interior,
composed by a trained nose.

Azht began in 2019 on a folding table in a Brooklyn studio, founded by former fine-fragrance developer Lina Osei and scent designer Marcus Velez. Six years later we are fourteen people, three master perfumers and a library of more than twelve hundred raw materials — and we still pour every candle in batches small enough to stir by hand.

We do not copy what is trending. We build each scent the way a perfumer builds a fragrance: top, heart and base notes, reworked dozens of times until the cold throw passes our 72-hour studio test. Fewer than six percent of new formulas pass on the first attempt. The rest go back to the bench.

What you take home is not a white-label vessel with a mood-board label. It is a composition — restrained, deliberate, and built to live in a room rather than announce itself across one.

The Signature Collection

Four olfactive directions
that define the house.

Each family below is a starting point — a single mood, expressed across a candle, a reed diffuser and a room spray so the room stays consistent as the seasons change.

Why Azht smells different

Four reasons it burns
the way it does.

  1. 01

    Composed, not copied

Every fragrance is built by a trained perfumer from a 1,200-ingredient palette. Nothing on our shelf is a white-label template renamed for the season.

  2. 02

    Micro-batched in Brooklyn

Hand-poured in batches of 200 units or fewer in our Wythe Avenue studio. No production line, no automation, no compromise on the cold pour.

  3. 03

    72-hour cold throw test

Every formula sits unlit in a studio room for three days before it ships. Fewer than 6% of submissions pass on the first attempt — the rest go back to the bench.

  4. 04

    Refillable, not disposable

Our refill program has kept 8.2 tons of glass out of landfill. Vessels are built to live on a shelf for a decade — refills cost less and cut packaging waste by 64%.
