Thanks, still got a bit to go fawking love handles, lower belly and chest fat mainly. Its nice and actually really motivating to see definition and vascularity under the fat this time. May actually see abs for the first time in my life lol.
Can't wait to actually eat in a surplus and watch lifts go up faster sometimes though. |
I'm slacking like a fucking BITCH!
Had to work long ass hours for the first week of January, then got sent to Vegas for a huge convention for a week, and now I'm back. Haven't been to the gym in almost 2 weeks and my body is turning back into a lazy pile of shit. Not to mention Vegas was nothing but booze and a bunch of good ass food served up at business lunches/dinners. Today I force myself back and it's time to refocus. |
First day back and I was able to work my bench up to 275. I think I can hit 300 if I just went for it while fresh. I hit 275 after working my way up from 205, adding 10lbs. per set.
I think I'm going to push for 350 by year's end. It's not major weight, but I'd be happy with a 350 bench. |
^^^^Congrats on your guys' progress! My goal this year is to get back under 200lbs and hopefully see some abs I'm at 206 as of this week, I'm shooting for about 180lbs. Last time I was under 200 I had a lot less muscle mass so I'm excited. Been putting more focus on diet because I hate cardio.

480 x 6(2 sets) on DL today. Think that is a PR. Pretty tough, but I had more in me.

Keep trying to gain weight and muscle. Been working out about 4 months now. Started at 115lbs , now 127lbs. I have been always skinny but i had enough of it.

Thanks man. Gonna get back on that routine you sent me in another week or so. Just making sure my work doesn't have any more unexpected trips. Trying to get back to 5 days a week consistent. I should be further along than I am at this point...but there's nothing I can do about that except get my ass back on track.
I appreciate all your help though....you've given a shit ton of advice, and it's helped a ton. |

As for goals.. Here was an easy 470 x 5 squat from Monday. Probably had 8-10. Feel I am real close to my 600lb squat goal. I won't be taking a 1rm for a long time unfortunately. |

Last night's workout included the following:
Standing Overhead Press (4 sets) Flat Bench Press (7 sets working from 205 up to 285) Incline DB Press (4 sets @ 75lbs) Decline DB Press (4 sets @ 75lbs) Cable Flyes (4 sets) Pec Dec (4 sets) Cardio 15 mins on stationary bike Sauna for 15 minutes |
I hate doing incline press for some reason, I have short arms

I don't like it using a barbell so much....but I love dumbbell presses.

Short arms are great for pressing. My bench stroke is so long especially since I use a pretty grip.

when i used to lift more and with some friends, I was the only one who seemed to hit my peak on the incline a lot sooner. I could do a lot more weight on the decline and flat, but no matter what I couldn't increase on the incline

My goals are simple, work out 3-4 days a week and eat healthier/better (much much better)
I'm only at 145lbs but want to go up to atleast 155lbs in weight. my cardio is horrible and I'm out of shape imo. Went up pistewa peak (sp?) about a month ago and had to stop about 4 times to catch my breath. Decided to start working out/ lifting weights after that. what do you fellas recommend I start eating more? I'm already eating more more snacks daily and drinking more water and that's a good start I guess. A friend also recommend I buy some muscle milk |

I take this. But dont take the suggested serving. Its rediculous! I take one scoop which is huge and 12oz of milk and Between meals.
