Just thought I'd post this here. Does anyone plan to attend or participate at firebird 1/20/17? I will be trying to make it out with some friends this night and I'm wanting to try and participate for the first time lol.

you didn't run circuit in your brothers car... i have a turbo so yes, fire jacket. and I have to add windows. but since you didn't have a dedicated circuit car you wouldn't know that windows aren't needed so mine are removed..
and like I said I haven't been on the drag strip in YEARS, plus my 3rd gear synchro is bad.

Well, my clutch (I think) literally just took a shit after mentioning I wanted to attend. Bad luck. I'm hoping I can get it replaced before the date! Should be able to.

True! But unfortunately, I am one of those guys who likes to take their time. I clean and inspect as I go. :P I turn 3-4 hour jobs into an all day event, haha. Beer and good jams make it fun for me. ha

I'm starting this weekend to prep and inspect, so hopefully when I get the clutch, it will be just install, torque, fill with fluids and I'm ready to go.

I do that too, i guess that's why my valve adjustment took two days!

You can buy them on ebay cheap. I have one it's about the size of a large t-shirt if u want to rent it for 5 dolla. If they go by dates it's prob expired though.
