Turbo Vs. Nitrous
 

Thinking about either getting a turbo or building my motor for nitrous...Need opinions

need your opinions on these two choice, i dont want to sell it and i dont have the money to get a k20

i think the d17 will handle a turbo at 8 psi very well. and itll be crazy fast!

yeah, i found a turbo thats set for 6psi...I was planning on working on the internal at the same time, kinda hard to find some of them though.

First turbo it, then when you can't get anymore out of it, then squeeze.

Bottle= blown up plastic IM or other worse things Turbo= car is a little faster. All in all it's a waste of money unless you plan to swap a K.

That's a shop for ya. You could do the swap for around $8-9k if you asked the right people, guaranteed.

lol....I'm done with the 7gen thats why I'm selling mine. Plus I've never done the swap before, I would need others there to help out.

lol...no doubt, if i could find someone to do a k24 swap for a descent price i'd be more then happy to spare the extra money. But i dont see that happening so it looks like its going to be the turbo

Lord almighty! even 9k for a swap?:hithead: Wow, just wow. For 9k you could trade in your car AND that 9k for an entirely different new/newer car (maybe even a different and/or better platform.) You could boost the car for half of that and keep the change. spray= cheap quick power, turbo is a one time cost (minus regular care, and don't skimp on the parts or fule management, otherwise BOOM!)

What you should do is ask people their opinions and experiences, by asking for the "pros" and "cons" of both. Good luck!:clap:

everytime you use nos it slowly causes damage to the head of youre motor. doesnt it slightly warp the head everytime you use it ?. i could be wrong tho but if this is the results then id rather boost it.

but yea all in all. kswap is the way to go . just wait it out a few and youll be able to find a decent kswap for really cheap in about a couple years,. id say about 5 grand. like dude said if you research around and ask the right people. shops will just charge you grip. work on youre suspension! ge tthat ou the way .worry about power later when affordable. a kswap into our cars is crazy insane. itll be worht it later when the rop in prices.
