Anyone at Honda Day today.. ?

I’ve logged in a few times just to see if anyone still comes in. So much has changed. Ive met a few old school AZHT heads on social media who have been following my business and ek build.

I’ve logged in a few times over the year just to see what’s been going on. TBH, I’m surprised this site is still up and running.

I fell out of the Honda scene for almost a decade? It’s been a while… I bought myself an EF hatch earlier this year. I’m actually at two EFs now lol. A red one and a black one. I took both of them to the Honda Day meet this past weekend. Maybe saw some you there.

I can't even upload a photo because files are too big... this site is showing it's age lol. You can check my insta for photos @project.ED7. Mine were parked on the south-west end of the lot next to a green EF. Nothing fancy, but both have B-series swaps for funsies.

I log in from time to time but the last few times I logged in it was a fuckin ghost town with spambots

How did AZHT get to this point? Facebook groups are a terrible alternative to a web forum, IMO. I find it hard to believe people just prefer using FB.

Social Media is the cause.


When you have a society who values the quick, easy path for instant gratification - social media will be the go-to.


It is quicker, easier, and faster feedback (likes, upvotes, etc) on Insta, reddit, facbooks, etc.

They don't care about the usefulness of archived posts, or more flexibility with posts because people these days change hobbies/lifestyles/etc faster than a tik-tok video goes viral.

The only forums I am on that are still active are ones where the user base is crotchety old people who don't want social media, or the subject matter isn't allowed on social media.

that and i can see a real name most the time to see who im dealing with. fb search is very powerful tool as well. Finally its nice to creep someones profile on the business side of things to see if you even want to deal with that person

What a well thought out answer. I think you're right, though. In the small amount of time that I've spent back on AZHT, I noticed there are some features and actions that my brain has been conditioned to seek for that just aren't supported by an an old forum. It almost leaves me feeling unfulfilled. Regardless, I still believe the forum is superior to FB groups for discussions and sharing information. It's a shame it's pretty much dead.


I agree with this as well when it comes to buy/sell/trade aspect. Being able to see who is on the other end is nice. It still has it's drawbacks though. The marketplace itself is a bit of a mess, but that's mostly because people don't follow good etiquette. Also, with how easy it is to make a buy/sell group, there are a TON of them. I ended up having to join like 4-5 groups for just to get visibility into all Honda items being sold locally.

Kind of like rx7tocivic to cray.
