The same type of person who would pay 41k for a focus rs?

That's a huge difference in price though. The RS and Type R are almost identical as far as specs go. But you would have to be out of your mind to pay over $20k more for the Civic.

On any given track day there are tons of S2000's out there, most of which were priced at $35k - $40k

The new CTR, hideous as it is, will RUN the S2000 at the track.

Someone who values exclusivity and build quality. There won't be a lot of these sold and the ones that keep low miles won't noze dive in value like a comparable Focus RS. Look at the ITR for example. You could have bought an Eclipse GST for a similar price but the ITR is worth more today.

I will be buying this CTR when it comes out can't wait. It will be on track the very next track day. Can't wait!!

If people will pay $40K for a focus. You bet there will be a list of people waiting for the Civic Type R, reguardless of the price. I do work for a local Ford dealer and they mark their Focus RS's up to$ 41K and they cant keep them in stock! So yes a $40k+ Civic type R that has never been sold before in America will sell and SELL fast$

If I can talk my wife into having a Civic Type R as her daily driver, damn right one will be in my garage!!!
