PhxKid92 07-13-2016 05:45 PM

CAPTAIN CAAAAAAAVEMAN 07-13-2016 06:02 PM

Going to do anything else?

PhxKid92 07-13-2016 06:21 PM

Maybe, i was thinking about having it dipped to protect the paint a little bit from rock chips and bugs,, so many fucking bugs where i live.

PhxKid92 07-13-2016 06:30 PM

Maybe spacers as well

LS-S DA9 07-13-2016 08:44 PM

Dipped? Why not 3m clear bra?

Makes the paint look dull, had it on that accord coupe i had. And a bitch to take all the glue residue off once it ages. I was thinking about going a color shifting pearl or maybe pearl white, just ideas, i probably wont ever do it.

LS-S DA9 07-13-2016 09:30 PM

Did you have 3m? I deal with it alot at work and the cheap shit ages horribly. 3m is better imo it lasts much longer. To each their own though. Nice car man.

Yeah it was 3m. the lady that owned it before me had it done and had the receipt for it in all the records she gave me, it was 2 years old. i took it off the side mirrors first and didnt come off cleanly at all. Did its job though because the paint underneath looked great. I just hated how dull it made the paint look.

LS-S DA9 07-13-2016 09:44 PM

For sure. Different experience than what I've seen personally. And no it won't come off clean lol unless it's fresh but 3m adhesive remover helps with that hahah go figure. No I'm not affiliated with 3m in any way shape or form. I just like their products

Saw a new duplicolor rattle can plastidip style paint thats supposed to remove easily in one piece...

Seems like an easy way to switch up styles frequently, if you so feel inclined lol does plastidip remove easily?

PhxKid92 07-13-2016 11:33 PM

LS-S DA9 07-14-2016 12:11 AM

In my experience on wheels I bought... no its a pain in the ass. I guess it depends on smooth the previous finish is. The smoother the easier to remove.

Do the wheels spin while you're stopped? If not you're not ballin hard enough, fgt

CAPTAIN CAAAAAAAVEMAN 07-14-2016 04:32 AM

Didnt watch. Asked you. :samuri:

PhxKid92 07-14-2016 05:32 AM

Because they didnt apply enough coats, the less amount of coats the harder to take off. Five coats should be the minimum. These wheels on the car are dipped, i used 5 coats of black base and 3 coats of bright aluminum metalizer. These will peel off no problem in big pieces because it was sprayed on thick

Kiss me

Guess you wont find out then hoe
