EM2 01-03 front end and rear conversion to 04-05

so i ve seen those conversions and i wanna know if the 05 front end fits directly(bolt on) in the 01 frame? just like a 00 conversion in a 96, and beside the front end do i need something else? beside the wiring harness for the headlights....

and also the tail lights are directly bolt on?

its there any tutorial of this?

tail lights yes PNP

front end is just like a 98-00
you need to bend the coresport tab a little bit but other then that is works

go to honda-tech.com..they have a FAQ's section about this and you can look on there

bryantiscool 09-10-2009 09:28 PM

tail lights arent exactly pnp
one of the connectors either needs to be shaved off to fit
or switch the connectors with the 04 to get it to fit.
either or.

I've never seen the core support bent, only a new one welded on.

civicarlos 09-11-2009 01:14 AM

damn repleace core support must be expensive :smirk:

Ill be waiting to see this one. Your better off getting a k series motor than trying this, but mad props if you do it.

Jason.AZ1 09-11-2009 09:47 AM

not the core support, a few tabs bent over to allow fitment

serious? the frontend swap would be so much cheaper then a K lol

Jason.AZ1 09-11-2009 09:56 AM

Okay I found one of the conversion threads
he did it with a new core, Im still searching for the
other guy who used his 01-03 core. But it's been done so long ago haha

also core support shouldnt cost much I think the last time i looked for a 99-00 it was only 60 bucks
so shouldnt cost that much more for a em2 core
