225/50/15 MT ET Streets

Rzarectah 07-26-2013 05:30 PM

Isn't that a little wide for a 6.5" wide wheel??

jakellama123 07-26-2013 05:55 PM

Yes it is but wider=more traction and a 225 on a 6.5 is fine. I'm debating putting 235 or 245 on a 7''

MIRANDA88 07-26-2013 06:25 PM

What's yout budget?

2000 07-26-2013 06:38 PM

I really don't have a budget for tires just trying to get the best bang for the buck,
how bout the nt555?

AZ_CIVIC 07-26-2013 06:39 PM

It will be fine, I got the pair at discount tire installed balanced and everything for 480 and they are sticky.

What does your suspension consist of? Hard to throw sizes out there with out knowing what you can actually fit. Especially if your are going for the "stanced" look. Just a thought.

2000 07-26-2013 06:57 PM

Stock height, maybe an inch lower I'm going for the sleeper look, has ksports tho

2000 07-26-2013 07:01 PM

How many miles are they rated to I just don't want to get tires every 5k miles lol

Nachooooosupreme 07-26-2013 07:02 PM

Do you have LSD? Also, hows the alignment?

Boom!!!!

MIRANDA88 07-26-2013 08:28 PM

Best bang for the buck imo are Federal 595rsr.

TypeREgg 07-26-2013 08:47 PM

Federal 595 rs-R I daily them in my 450whp civic best bang for buck under $100 each

AZ_CIVIC 07-26-2013 09:11 PM

If you are looking to hook and hook well, go with the Mickey Thompson ET Streets.

You probably would have to change tires every 5000 miles but if you want to hook well then that is what it takes.

MIRANDA88 07-26-2013 09:27 PM

Srsly ET streets are overkill for 230whp.

C.R.A.Y. 07-26-2013 09:59 PM

I'd go with the 555r or nt05r
They aren't as sticky as the bfg's or mt's but for that baby power they will do fine and last the life you want.

2000 07-26-2013 10:53 PM

Yes LSD, cool thanks guys ill try the 595's first see how those do,

TypeREgg 07-26-2013 11:05 PM

Make sure you get the rsr version 595 tho

EM1 jooowizzzle 07-27-2013 03:45 AM

my racecar is a dd

2000 07-30-2013 01:39 PM

Anyone know who has the federal 595 rsr locally? In the Phoenix area

MIRANDA88 07-30-2013 02:16 PM

Pretty sure your going to have to order online.

AZ_CIVIC 07-30-2013 03:46 PM

Heck yeah I am totally serious, these suckers will plant the power to the ground and because he doesn't have much power they will last for 15k...

I spin thru every gear with the ET streets but they are better then BFG's and alot better then Falcons.

If I didn't care about looks on a car I would go with a M&H 235/60 which would put a smack down on the ET's but at that point might as well just put my slicks on instead LOL..

MIRANDA88 07-30-2013 07:06 PM

It's 230whp, he'll be lucky to spin some Nitto Neo Gens lol. Yeah if i was putting down your kind of power i would s definitely go with the MHs. Don't care if my car looks like a monster truck, atelast I'd be able to hook.
