comes to find out the code four issue was i wired in the crank shaft position sensor in backwards gonna test fire it tonight and see what happens

the harness side of c1 goes to b10 and c2 to b12 i wish i remembered the colors but its really easy stuff

Just got a rear disc for the hatchy havent bolted it up yet need some b4 and after pics for yall!

pulled the dash out and started drilling a new hole through the firewall for the harness to go threw where its unseen but broek 3 drill bits in the process and gave up fro the day. i cant wait to paint this thing

stared at it figured out my mistake on the harness so no more code four but now i throw code 16 injectors i have good injectors but they are obd1 and i am using a resistor box and stock a6 plugs does anyone know if the high impedeance injectors with a resistor box will cause this?

If you are using high impedance OBD1 injectors you shouldn't be using the resistor box. The OBD0 injectors are something around 2.5 Ohms of resistance and those injectors along with the resistor box send the right amount of resistance to the ECU. I am assuming (someone else chime in if I'm wrong here) that the OBD0 injectors with the resistor box creates somewhere in the neighborhood of 12 to 13 Ohms of resistance. Seeing that the OBD1 injectors are in the 12.5 Ohm area, that's why you don't need the box with the OBD1 injectors. I'm assuming the resistor box adds about 10 Ohms to the circuit so when you wire up the OBD1 injectors with the resistor box you effectively create about 22 Ohms of resistance which is probably why you are throwing the code.

^ i already explained this to him in a different thread. doesn't seem to do much good as all this info is readily available on the internet that i'm sure he's on quite frequently.
i drove mine to work today, like everyday, thinking about painting it, probably something cheap like rattle can job, dunno if i should even bother. it's probably gonna be rust filled in a few years anyway... i think i might get some undercoating and do the wheel wells. i'll probably just be too lazy and end up playing video games like always. |
