google my friend..
and this shit is scotty built!!! |
can't wait to see the numbers she puts down.
|
The dyno is scheduled for tomorrow...
|
you have a "number" you're shooting for?
|
As I said earlier in the thread... anything over 200whp will be nice. We will be lucky if it gets that.
|
you're being modest lol :all_coholic:
|
I am not that cool... Seriously, I have no idea what to expect. I will be lucky if we get through the dyno session tomorrow. I have never built one of these before. It is similiar to my h22 bottom end as far as displacement and compression, the head flows a little better, but we made the header (someone on another site was so kind to point out that it won't work because runner 1 is "WAY too long" and my timing for exaust pulses is whacked... ) and we are using a plenum manifold, So like I said...
|
I'll be happy if it doesnt make a mess on my floor.
|
lololol well hopefully it makes it threw fine and we get to see this crazy single cam run
|
I will make a prediction that the motor will make well over 200whp and 180tq regardless if the runner on the header is a little longer or shorter than the others. If the head really flows the numbers you are saying then definately.
Good luck on the dyno !! |
bahahah, i think we are all happy when we leave without a mess on the floor at your shop.
hes there now i want results |
in for the results pleeeeeease
|
Just got an update folks. Tuning is still in progress a 8:50pm.
They are up to 7000 rpm with no sign of the power even thinking of falling off.... One of the most impressive dyno graphs I have seen. I think the original goal of 200 hp was a safe goal seeing as it IS a single cam...LOL |
My current estimate after seeing the chart..... 315hp/ 220tq.
Power up to at least 9.25k Hopefully I wont be proven wrong (unless its higher!). |
yes just got the text. sooo sick this thing is going to haul ass.
|
I hate you. come pick me up?
Or are they finished for the night? |
Not finished by a long shot...But Im in Tucson....Pick up would take a while!
|
damn way to go collective!!!
|
OK So... I have a habit of being too optimistic.
Just throwing that out there. But I have faith! Dispite what everyone says...(my phone has been blowing up with haters).....I believe in this motor! even if it is a single cam! |
whatttttttttttt!?
|
Ok re-read my last post...
Im gonna leave it at that. |
lol its ok. We'll all wait and see, thought the suspense is killing all of us!
No need to start an arguments |
Waiting on a final number.
Scott gave the ok to publish it. Fingers crossed! |
So....I was about 30 off the HP and only 6 off the Torque.
Final numbers are 282hp and 214tq @ 7200. This is a huge surprise to me after seeing the 1st dyno graph. There is much MUCH more power to be had from this engine... I feel it! Congrats to Scott are still in order as this is his first true and full F build. P.S. now you can get back to work on your own car for a lil! |
still though!
god damn! 11's? |
yes very very low 11's at that. she can drive
|
damn those are sum good numbers for a f how much was this build ? |
Iam not surprised at all.
A motor is a motor. If it has a big displacement and is built with the correct parts it WILL make power. After seeing the results I think I may build one of these myself. I have a long block sitting here in the shop anyway. I may not go nearly as extreme but I guess I will give it a whirl. Very impressive !! Good job and good luck at the race. |
Very nice!
|
god dam. nice numbers. cant wait to see this thing run
