88 civic hatch bumper lights into parking lights

so i was doing some research around the intranet and couldnt find a decent writeup to do this! i guess its the same concept as doing sidemarkers.... the only difference is you will need to swap out your stock socket for a civic tail light socket.i ended up using a DA one but same shit haha. so lets get into it!!

this is the socket you WILL need to get!

remove screws and let the lights dangle

you will be using the the wires closest to the screws

then cut the wires on the bumper light

reconnect the new harness just like this green to green and black to black

using a new wire connect to the red wire, this is what gonna run to the corner light

cornerlight harness

then use tail light bulbs for the lights

put everything back and enjoy!!!!

Umm I would solder and or atleast heat shrink the wiring especially being so close to the ground might get some water splashed up that way...

Pep boys also sells universal sockets for this. Just make sure to get the 3 wire socket and a double filament bulb if you want it to blink properly
