Clearing orange signal lamps in Del Sol's, Lude's, Accord Wagon's. Maybe others too.
I did this years ago to the rear turns on my Lude and it gave me the idea for the front turns on the Del Slow. Took me less than an hour to do both from start to finish.
These are the tools needed. ![]() Before pic. ![]() After pic. ![]() This is the site where I got the idea years ago. http://www.ntpog.org/mods/fifth-sign...-signals.shtml I did buy a set of those bulbs though that are chrome covered but still light up orange/amber so I don't get a ticket but they don't show orange when off. Got them cheap off eBay. Like $8.00 for the pair shipped. For the Lude I used LED's that light up orange from this site. They have lasted about 6 years now with no issues other than they will make ur blinkers flash fast if you don't use resistors or a flasher relay made for LED bulbs. http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-b...Fled_prods.htm Here is a site to find out what bulb's you need. On the superbright led site, they have a cross refference for all different bulbs. Use this if you can't find the ones you need on eBay. http://www.sylvania.com/ConsumerProd...lacementGuide/ Yes I was lazy when writing this but I thought I would share what I did tonight. Hopefully someone finds this useful. |

Also I forgot to mention, there is 1 screw inside the housing holding the orange piece in there. Once you have pretty much all the orange out, that screw will still be holding some. Grab it with the needle nose and just break it off. It's rather easy to do asitis a short screw and the plastic it goes into will snap right off. Just make sure to get bulbs that still light up orange unless ur OK with possibly getting pulled and paying a ticket. Get the chrome covered orange bulbs like in the link as the plain orange ones will still show that nasty color when off inside the housing. |

Trickens set was the worst ones I have ever done. Fricken piece was so far in there.
They did turn out nice though. Glad you liked the results. Cost of your bulbs was $7.45 shipped. My friend I brought over the night I did yours just bought bulbs last night for his Lude and now I have to do those too for him. |
