I believe the timing belt was serviced by Acura too .

Makes total sense for the ground to be on the post. All the original stock photos idk how the ground always ends up there. My dc2 type R book does one advertisement showing an odd grounding location ( the little tab I have never been sure what its for). The Mugen one has same grounding point too .

those are both magazines where people have messed with the cars. same with us magazines. us who are old enough to remember these cars new on the lots know where the ground goes. its doesnt go on the valve cover itself as the valve cover has a nice rubber gasket keeping it from touching the block. it goes on the stud nut of the vlave cover because that touches the block and keeps it grounded. i wish those valve covers didnt have those extra threaded holes in them but alas they do. the one is for the RHD throttle cable bracket but the other i have no idea
