I've got my eye on this slider for when I pick up the D3100.




Not too expensive at all....and you can do some great "rolling footage" similar to a steadicam, but even better because it takes out ALL vibrations of walking.

There is alot if diy's for those kindof things but I don't trust alot of them. The few things im making are for sure not going to drop or ruin the camera. Just need to use better quality equipment.

Man this is definitely interesting stuff. Some cool videos in this thread for sure. I have been messing around with a go Pro and editing in window Movie maker since my D80 doesn't do video.

What do most people use for editing?

iMovie, Windows Movie Maker, Magic Bullet, and Adobe After Effects seem to be the popular choices.

I normally use 3ds, after effects, and vegas.
For small things, i use photoshop

I use Sony Vegas

Ok so what dose everyone use to convert MOV files to something I can edit with like AVI?

I want to put some stuff togather but editing software is killing me....

Have you tried importing them into Final Cut?
I believe i did some shots with a camera that only did MOV files and I believe I was able to edit them in final cut and after affects

I will be honest, its time I updated my software. My vegas version quit running so thats dead right now. Adobe Premire is too taxing on my machine so thats out. No final cut pro, so I have been using Windows Movie Maker. Sucks but damn its simple.

Good job with the video. Just the wind sound was a bother. Only thing i saw to improve. Great job.

Unfortunatly i wont be uploading my video as my camera is being repaired. USB port on the camera stopped working so i took it in and they said about 2 weeks to fix it (Sending it in) or they will just give me a new one (What im hoping for) so my video is on hold. But while it is on hold me and the "group" are planning on making a zombie movie haha. Based off of Left 4 Dead haha.

Music Killed this one. Could be pulled off just need more work on syncing with the music. Also time to match the music since i see you were trying to follow her words (In example when she said turn on the lights in the song you turned on the headlights..... during the day.....) lol

Just some tips to help you improve thats all. I should be making a video soon to test out my old pc. See if i can get this old thing running haha
