Good shop for rebuilding cylinder head

So I started to hear a light tapping when I slightly tap on the gas at idle. It goes away at 1.5k but I'm assuming it could be a valve. I did my valve lash yesterday. It was a tad tight but not overly. So I want to get my head rebuilt just to be on the safe side. I really don't know its condition since it came with a bad motor with spun rod bearing. I just want to make sure I'm taking it to someone who has worked Hondas and does a good job.

Any recommendations?

Yep, he now owns a CNC and is getting ready to also provide block sleeving services among other things. He has a 9.0 second FWD Civic and built the motor that Joe currently is using to run 8.6's in FWD.

He does high end extreme builds as well as regular maintenance. They also do great fabrication there as well. With Joe being a door over it is a one stop shop. Just my opinion.

No shit, going to sleeve now? That's definitely a huge step.

Yep, he's got a nice CNC machine setup in his shop now and Joe was helping him get everything setup. So maybe in the next few months he will be at it sleeving blocks.

No more shipping blocks out shops for some people, very awesome.

If you are looking for someone to put new valve seals or valves in it, then Aaron or BBN would both be good choices.
If you need a valve job, head milled or head ported, then Aaron or BBN will end up sending it out to a machine shop for that kind of work.

Years ago, i used s&s machine shop in mesa. Unsure if still around. They cleaned and checked head, as well as installed new valve and valve guides etc.

They also installed pistons onto floating wrist pins, and bored/honed h22 block for me. Full service.

I'm yet to find a great machine shop, I need to hang out with Joe an Aaron. I used AZ speed and marine. Work is okay they replaced 16 guides. I took the brae head and it was still $400 I also took the guides.

All the good shops seem to be so far from me. I'd literally have to take a day off to leave it somewhere and another day off to pick up. I don't miss moving out of the ghetto but I miss being closer to everything
