AIR CRAFT remover sold at ACE, spray it on and it will eat the paint down to the bare metal by itself. Use to use this stuff on valve covers. Works wonders

kdroberts83 03-31-2009 04:15 PM

Aircraft remover is the shit, just make sure you don't get any on your skin. That shit don't care if your hands aren't painted.

REDREX 04-01-2009 10:50 AM

dozer54321 04-17-2009 11:58 PM

better than the aircraft stripper is MEK aka methyl ethyl ketone

got to work with a lot of that stuff at the FAA repair place i worked at for a while, good/slightly dangerous times :upyours:

gamblingwithsouls 04-21-2009 09:07 PM

I used this on my rims. I didn't have much luck with it, but it sure cleaned them really well.

thakid 04-24-2009 09:44 PM

Holy hell. This is crazy. Oven cleaner. Who would of guessed. Nice find

Daddy_Digital 04-25-2009 02:16 AM

will burn the hell out of ur skin if it lands on it lol

mr.DUNK 04-25-2009 08:33 AM

If you end up using aircraft stripper on your vehicles body and it goes down to bare metal. You need to etch prime the metal before you paint...this doesn not mean any primer....has to be direct to metal or etch primer. Not doing so, could result into rusting under the surfaxe of the paint or paint flaking off in the near future...FYI..

Method520 04-27-2009 07:19 PM

i just picked up aircraft remover from autozone for like 7 bucks and it works great, the can is bigger too :)

Bottlefedb20 05-13-2009 10:18 PM

Ive used oven cleaner for years to clean and strip all the oil build up off blocks!1 can and 30 minutes in the sun and all the build up just sprays off. Great on oil pans too.........
