New CTR price
Honda must be insane, that's almost 50k usd! |
wow, that's crazy prized well see when the ballers buy them. Lol
65408.55 US Dollar...
That is stupid. |
The only issue is cars don't come over at the exact exchange rate.
You can get a 707 horsepower Charger SRT Hellcat for 65k.
Yeah but how fast can that run the ring? Huh?:drive:
No one is gunna take their civic to the ring. . And no one is going to pay 65k for a damn civic... I'd buy a lot of other cars for 65k way before the civic.
Fuck for less than 65k I could replicate or buy the drivetrain and put it in a better body style then see who's faster on the ring for less $$ |
x2:drive:
of course no one is going to take it there!
all sarcasm was lost! doh! |
No no no not lost lol. I just see honda failing miserably on their attempt to FINALLY give us a ctr and it won't be here long.. now if they brought the ek ctr it would have sold...
I ended up buying one lmao. Would also like to buy one of the new gens but im not a complete fucking moron
I made my own. ... KINDA. The way it sits I don't have all the fancy interior but I have the performance and I'm waaay cheap into it.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I'm dying here!
lol at that price the only people buying this car will be a few purists and a couple curious wealthy folks
i'd bet none of them see the 'ring and maybe one or two test cars will see tracks here. |
Maybe that's what Honda of America wants. Price this car so fucking high that they can justify not ever bringing anything worth a shit to the States because it didn't sell the last time they did. Hybrids sell. Minivans sell. Accords sell. Sports cars? Nobody apart from a few people want that shit, and even less actually have the money to buy one.
the people that bitch about it wouldn't be able to buy them anyway lol
So I have beers with a type R badge $22 each
free track day pass is very cool
2016 Honda Civic Type R Sets 7:50 Nurburgring Lap Time
?
we know HONDA took one to the track. but I doubt very much anyone in the USA will buy one at that price and take it to the ring or to any track but hey crazier things have happened...someone drove (and wrecked) a Veyron here at Firebird once |
With an Si priced around $25k, I am sure the CTR will be mid $30k. We could see early models selling for near $40k with mark-up pricing.
yup what you said.
The New CTR Hitting The States Is Coming With A 1.5L Turbo Vs The UK's And JP's 2.0L, So You Have To Consider That As Well... From The Performance Aspect, I Doubt Anyone Here Will Look Towards The New "US Spec" CTR For Their New Platform.
North American Honda has said that it will keep the si trim levels. I believe the si will receive the 1.5L turbo and be priced between 25-30k. The CTR will be showing up in the 17/18 model year with the 2.0L
This is just ridiculous! For that money I would rather bring over a NSX-R or pick up a usdm GTR. There has got to be a dozen or two of different cars that I would purchase at 60k before the CTR. I think North American Honda is setting this up to fail |
Good luck bringing over an NSX-R. Those are well over $80k in Japan with the facelifted ones being over $100k
You are probably right but still 60k CTR < 30kSTI & 30k EVO or CTR< 30k Work truck, 10k something K swapped, 20k in BRK.B.
yup what you said is right
WTF! They are out of their minds even with the SI. What complete moron would pay $30k for a Civic SI? Seems like someone at Honda has gone bat shit crazy. I think this is going to be an epic failure on their part.
