Networking Nerd Question....

I have Netgear WNDR300 Dual Band Router in my office and my desktop PC in my room.

On my 2.4GHz "G" network I have my printer and cell phone.

I have a Wireless 6.1 Speaker system that also operates on 2.4GHz connected to my PC.

When I run the wireless "G" adapter I have on my desktop PC the interference caused by the wireless speakers consistently robs me of about 80% bandwidth.

I want to use a 5GHz adapter for my PC but want to know first if anyone else has had experience using a dual band router in this manner and if the 5GHz channel really does work free of interference from the other nonsense.

Please and thank you :)

Yes 100%. 2.5ghz would solve this issue as well(which doesnt exsist). I have to do this because of issues with my bluetooth mouse from time to time. 2.4ghz is what EVERYTHING runs on its retarded. Only downside is 5ghz doesnt go thru walls as nicely.

I was hoping that was the case.

I found some amplified ones with attachable antenna that helps solve some of the wall issues for 5GHz.. I have 3 walls to travel through :\
