Rebuilt y8
hi I just rebuilt my new rings pistons rods .20 over so .5mm just woundering proper break in time using conventional oil.

All you need to know, I know plenty of people that did this and they are pushing 500+ this is the break-in-method I'm going to use for my motor once its done GL |
so you would say go to like 5k max in 2nd-4th and let the engine break it itself ..
Lol sounds crazy but if the motor is going to break its going to break look it up man do some research for yourself, I was thinking the samething but a friend told me this and he has a 500+ 1st gen gsx
yea ive looked at that site a couple times but wasn't sure...lol so do what I stated above for about how many miles.?
Its says on there but flush system after the first 20miles cause that's where most of the wear is but then run it for 1500 miles with normal oil and then after that you can run whatever you would like
do said break in technique for 20 miles change oil and drive normal?
Yea cause if you motor is going to break or rings aren't going to seal then its going to be in the first 20 miles that's when you will see if the motor was built right
I let it get up to operating temp, make sure no leaks nothing. Take it out easy, do partial throttle "pulls" in each gear gaining more speed and more load depending on gear and engine braking. I would do like a 10-15 minute runs and then let it cool down go back out and do another gear with more load so on and so forth. 30k miles later no smoke and running strong. Remember the rings are going to seat super fast.
