6 puck unsprung vs sprung for a DD

So reading on a few sites on the pros and cons on putting the 6 puct clutch I have on my DD. Jus need opinions on the reliabity or any other issues I might have such as wear and tear on the tranny and my toda flywheel might be over kill and ruin my tranny. and I'll jus stick with my current clutch set up . so my question basicly being what would an ACT 6 puck unsprung clutch and pressure plate do on my turboed poor mans r with b16 tranny as far as good and bad . any help would be aprriciated

ACT JUNK!! get a sprung cc clutch stage 5 . never had a problem on dd with 700+ whp with many 3 gear burnouts at the track. :)

Yes it will work. You need to find out its clamping capacity as far as how many ft/lbs it can handle. Also an unsprung once warmed up will chatter on take off until you start rolling. Your passenger will most likely get whiplash in their neck when you tote around town.

How do u find these specs out its a used clutch that actually came off the long block I bought still has some decent life in it so I figured why not.. And by chatter do mean like its gonna be a bit jerky on take offs ?

See if you can find some serial numbers or scour act's clutch line up and try to match yours up to which one looks the most like yours. Chatter as in when you take off it will judder until full clamping force.
unsprung clutches are a little different, they are either on or off, no in between. You will eventually learn your personal technique to master the take off better and be ready for many stalls. I would stall mine out at random times and more frequent than a sprung style clutch.

Only numbers i found where on the clutch it self which say 220 the pop has none . . I'll try it out see how it holds up don't hurt to try

I think my ACT sprung 6 puck with HDPP was good up to 300lb/ft of torque

I've got a Competition Extreme stage 4 solid hub. No chatter, 1500 miles so far and strong. It's coupled with a 11 lb flywheel also from comp on my turbo car. No chatter, but takes getting used too.

What kind of clutch were you running before? I had a stage 3 sprung on my hatch and I drove it fine then hopped into an unsprung stage 4 in my buddies hatch and stalled it. he hated DD'ing his car with the unsprung in it because it was such a pain in the ass in traffic.
