Looks fantastic so far. I keep going back to your facebook page to look at it. Im anxious to see it in person.
the wraps look good. Is there a kevlar wrap available
What exactly are you looking for? There is the Carbon as you see in that picture which resembles a carbon kevlar.
I wanna wrap my hood and healight cover on my rx7

looking for soemthing along the lines of thishttp://www.carbonfiberhoods.com/cfx-carbon-kevlar-gt-hood-mazda-rx-7-fc3s-1986-1992.html
I find it harrd to achieve unless trying something like this But i was thinking to do some sort of double wrap. Laying the kevlar carbon look and then follow it with a clear coat 3m wrap. Something almost like a invisible shield for a ipad or ipod |
Like you said either of those two ideas would be totally experimental as im sure results arent perfect from spraying with clear coat all the time. I tell you what though, you have me interested and I have a few scraps of Carbon laying around here so Im going to try something with some clears and see what kind of result I get.

I'm curious to what would price be to wrap my hood and truck carbon for 98 civic coupe?
Speak for yourself bud. Not everyone on this site is dick in the dirt broke....
havnt yet tryed it myself. i would think a clear coat of vynl would look much better. |
I've tried two different kinds of clear coat. It reacts a little abnormally at first but after sitting for about 24 hours it doesnt seem to look bad but by no means perfect either. Going to try it again and see how it turns out, snap a few pics and post it up for you. Im not sure an actual Gloss overlaminate would work because the Carbon material isnt flat like the gloss where you can just laminate right over it. The carbon has grooves and a texture to it so it may not adhere an overlaminate correctly.

So when this gets dirty, you just wash the car like you normally would for around 5-7 years?
This guy ^
Yes you can wash it with the same soap/water you would use to wash it now. It is highly recommended to hand wash it only though and not use a pressure washer. With a pressure washer you can always run the risk of accidently catching an edge and ruining the wrap. Not that it would because the edges seal up pretty tight but its better to avoid the risk all together. You can use polishes and waxes and keep the shine and get rid of any small scratches or oxidation as well as time goes on. There are so many products out there to keep them in the best condition you can and the technology in the vinyl is pretty amazing which is why wrapping is considered a paint alternative because you can get it to look as if the car was painted eventhough it wasnt.
