Quick comparison between a $500 lens and $100 lens. You be the judge.

The Sigma 50 1.4 isn't bad if you manual focus. Seems like autofocus only works 50% of the time if you're lucky.

For comparison purposes, Canon 50 1.8 @ 1.8 autofocus on the Si badge. Canon 50mm is far more accurate during autofocus. Sure it doesn't hit 100% of the time, but far more keepers than the Sigma.
